BF456A/CX/W C-3-8 Base VAD c/w 96dB(A) Sounder
The BF456A/CX/W Addressable Base VAD c/w 96dB(A) Sounder utilises the latest advances in sounder and LED technology to provide a truly exceptional twin-LED C-3-8 base-mounting fire alarm warning device. Designed for use as part of a stacked sounder/VAD/detector base combination, it is fully compatible with C-TEC’s ZFP & XFP range of Apollo XP95/Discovery addressable fire panels. Able to provide EN54-23 illumination levels at typical BS5839-1 detector spacing intervals*, it has an alarm current of just 14mA (VAD lit, sounder on max) making it one of the most effective/efficient base sounder/VADs on the market. Other features include seven selectable volume levels, 15 tone pairs, a flash rate of 0.5Hz and a group addressing function to ensure the synchronised operation of multiple devices. If not used as part of a sounder/VAD/detector/base combination, optional white and red caps are available for standalone use. * Assumes ambient light is 201-300 lux and VAD viewing angle is direct.
Third-party certified to EN54-3 (Sounders), EN54-23 (VADs) and 17 (Isolators) by the LPCB. Provides 'C-3-8 light distribution when ceiling mounted (min 0.4 lux over a 3 x 8m cylindrical area*). Impressive 96dB(A) sound output @ 1m. Two unique C-TEC designed lenses maximise light output whilst minimising current draw. Onboard short-circuit loop isolator. 550uA quiescent current. 14mA alarm current @24V DC (VAD lit, sounder on max). Attractively finished in white and clear polycarbonate (light output is white). Group addressing facility allows multiple devices to be operated simultaneously. 7 selectable volume levels and up to 15 selectable tone pairs. Attractive compact design - just 112mm diameter, 46mm deep (not including detector). Optional BF330CTLIDW white or BF330CTLIDR red cap available for stand-alone use. IP21C rated.
